Research

Research on the consequences of obesity in Danish children and adolescents includes its impact on sleep, mental health, physical activity, and the development of chronic conditions such as cardiometabolic diseases and mental illness.

Additionally, this research investigates the long-term effects of community-based lifestyle interventions for childhood obesity, including subsequent weight development, mental health, and somatic diseases.

Teaching activities

My career has been a combination of working as a clinical physician and as a researcher. I aim to integrate research into my clinical practice, thereby enhancing both my research and my work as a physician.
Additionally, I serve as a supervisor for both Ph.D. and medical students in relation to their specialization.

Collaborations

In my research, I collaborate across different departments and sectors, such as Aarhus University, Steno Diabetes Center Aarhus, and several healthcare professionals in Danish municipalities.
Currently, I have a productive collaboration with both Aarhus Municipality and Randers Municipality.
