I'm director of the Center for Language Generation and AI (CLAI), which was launched in June 2023.
Since March 2023, I've been chair of the Book Panel of the Ministry of Culture Denmark.
2021-25, I'm the co-PI of the research project Fabula-NET with Kristoffer Laigaard Nielbo, financed by the VELUX Foundation.
In September 2019, I published a book with Routledge on world literature, Literature and the World, co-authored with Stefan Helgesson (Stockholm) and now in Open Access. I have edited The Bloomsbury Handbook of Posthumanism with Jacob Wamberg (Aarhus), now in paperback.
I'm an editor of Orbis Litterarum, and I welcome suggestions for publications in literary studies for review.
I have taught in many different courses in History of Literature. At master's level especially in World Literature, and at bachelor's level in Main Works Study and History of Literature 4: “Literature since 1900”. I have also taught several short courses on digital methods. In interdisciplinary contexts, I have offered courses in memory and migration. Since 2013, I have held courses for the Academy for Talented Youth with a focus on the humanities and the future of humanity.

I have often interviewed authors at book fairs and festivals, including Mario Vargas Llosa, Salman Rushdie, Siri Hustvedt, Xiaolu Guo, Georgi Gospodinov, Knud Romer, Kirsten Thorup and Svend Åge Madsen.
