I conduct research within the field of air pollution and health effects. During my PhD, I examined the impact of indoor air quality on acute health effects among individuals with respiratory disease. The main focus was on particles from candles, cooking fumes, and electronic cigarettes. In my current Postdoc, I study ambient air pollution and its association with noncommunicable diseases and birth outcomes. My research includes human exposure experiments and registry studies.
I teach medical students and public health students at bachelor and master's degree levels. My teaching include public health, epidemiology, environmental risk factors and scientific methods in general. I supervise BA and MSc students within the area of public health. Additionally, I am leading the course "Business related project" for master's students in public health. I contribute with presentations on my research for companies and teaching institutions interested in air pollution and health.
