MSc Kim Gustavson, (male), MSc. He is a senior research scientist at Ecoscience. He has more than 25 years of experience with project management, research and consultancy assignments for private companies and environment authorities. He has acted as principal leader as well as expert in several EU-research and national research and development projects. Clients include industries, environmental authorities in Denmark, Norway and Greenland, The European Environment Agency, The European Chemicals Agency, the EU Commission, The Baltic Marine Environment Protection Commission, the European Maritime Safety Agency, Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Program, Nordic Council of Ministers and AMAP and others. His expertise includes environmental risk assessment of spill of chemicals and oil in marine environment, bioaccumulation and toxicity of chemicals and oil on aquatic organism, antifouling coating and biofouling on ship hulls, treatment of ship ballast water, characterization of the vulnerability of marine water in relation to spills from ships, classification of vulnerability of marine water in relation to spills from ships, invasive species transfer by ship. Since 2011, he has performed advisory work for the authorities in Greenland and Denmark in relation to environmental protection.
