Ahmad is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics and Business Economics at Aarhus University. He is also a research fellow at TrygFonden’s Centre for Child Research, Aarhus University. He has been working on projects funded by Rockwool Foundation Research Unit. Ahmad earned his PhD in Economics and Business Economics from Aarhus University in 2019.
Ahmad’s research interests fall within the domain of Urban Economics, Labor Economics, Education Economics, and the Economics of Crime. He primarily employs quasi-experimental methods to examine the effects of residing in disadvantaged areas and ethnic enclaves, along with the impacts of place-based policies.
Ahmad teaches various courses including Microeconomics and Real Estate Economics. He also supervises Bachelor’s and Master’s students writing their theses on topics related to Urban Economics, Labor Economics, Education Economics, and Economics of Crime.
