My research revolves around how citizens with first- and second generation immigrant backgrounds are met in different parts of the public administration - especially schools - and the effects and policy feedbacks from policies and initiatives in everyday contexts.
I teach - and supervise - students in subjects related to integration and education policy, as well as the implementation of evidence-based initiatives in this field. In addition, I teach the major core subjects of the bachelor's programme in Political Science; Policy Evaluation, Political Sociology and Public Administration.
I collaborate with Simon Calmar Andersen, Jesper Asring Jensen Hansen, Morten Hjortskov and Jacob Majlund Holm on the READit project. One of the studies in my PhD is related to this project, and my post-doc is co-funded by Simon via the Novo Nordisk Foundation. In the READit project, we investigate how interventions that have proven successful on a small scale can be scaled up and implemented on a large scale. Through a national field experiment among more than 200 schools with a reading intervention, we investigate this question.
