In my research, I study democratic backsliding, support for democracy, political persuasion, and public opinion. I am particularly interested in how politicians communicate and justify undemocratic actions to the public and how our experiments can yield even more knowledge. Currently, I am working on how an opposition may effectively persuade voters to sanction undemocratic actions.
