Karina is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management at Aarhus University. She has a PhD in Management from Aarhus School of Business, now Aarhus University.
Karina specializes in interdisciplinary management accounting research, primarily focusing on the design of public funding models (formula funding). Such funding principles often imply the use of result-based funding where effect and outcome is used as funding criteria.
Karina teaches Management Accounting in the third year of Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Business Administration and Law degree programme (HA jur.). The course teaches the fundamentals of management accounting.
Karina has previously taught Management Accounting (1st year BSc), Cost Accounting (3rd year BSc), and Organizational Behavior (3rd year BSc) in the Economics programme (oecon.). Further, she supervises BSc, MSc, and PhD theses. She has supervised more than 200 theses.
Karina is the Union Representative at the Department of Economics and Business Economics and member of several committees at Aarhus University.
