My research field deals with structure and properties of materials' surfaces. I am using quantum mechanical methods for calculation of the interaction of the atoms, and machine learning methods for speeding up the computations.
I teach the course: Computational Physics (10 ECTS), which is an introductory physics course at the post-graduate level. In the course, the students are presented with methods for simulating molecules, atomic clusters, and solid state matter. The course further introduce the students to a range of machine learning methods, including deep learning of interatomic interactions.
