My research centers on elections, electoral manipulation, and women in politics in both democracies and authoritarian regimes, particularly in Africa. I am currently PI on a research project examining how electoral irregularities affect women's access to politics in Africa.

I teach on the BA- and MA-level and supervise MA- and PhD-students. My teaching areas are comparative politics and methods, where I teach courses on e.g., elections in new democracies and in dictatorships, women in politics, and African politics.
