I am a PhD student at Aarhus University, Department of Political Science, working interdisciplinarily on research into youth well-being, especially in relation to their digital lives and social media use. My research focuses on the mechanisms and consequences that can arise from media consumption, including how social media impacts well-being. I am particularly interested in understanding and uncovering how digital platforms affect young people's mental health over time, and how discourses surrounding screen use and children's well-being develop in the media and in politics.
I have a strong interest in advanced statistical methods and apply a broad range of approaches in my research, including meta-analyses, machine learning, computational linguistics, agent-based modeling, and analyses of large longitudinal datasets. With a background in cognitive science, behavioral economics, and cognitive semiotics, I draw on economic, psychological, and linguistic perspectives to explore social issues in new interdisciplinary ways.
I teach courses in Policy Evaluation and Behavioral Public Policy, where I introduce students to quantitative and experimental methods within public policy and policy design.
